Hilda Kahra – Arbetarkonstnären

Hilda Kahra exhibited drawings and the new booklet The Worker-Artist / Arbetarkonstnären. Visitors could either buy the folder with a gold coin – or pay with labour and make a coin out of gold paper. 

The idea is for this small booklet to function like a shard of a mirror. I have written a fair bit about my wage labor, but the booklet also contains fictional texts that, to me, feel somewhat like images. It is as if the images in my head have transformed into text. The booklet also includes a number of drawings.

Hilda Kahra is based in Helsinki when exhibiting Hilda was spending a month at Konstepidemin. Hilda often works with themes concerning class and labor, and over the years she has developed a self-styled theory of drawing under the name SUPER NAIVE.
